" me the 1st Jamboree ! "

Salam & Good day folks !

I had my first MTB Jamboree yesterday at Nibong Tebal. It was totally new experience for me since i've always riding the fast road bike for the last 2 years. Well, it was not that bad huh...more thrilling compare to road bike...you can easily get injured at any time if you were not 100 % focusing to the conditions. Yes, this is my 3rd time riding MTB (pinjan Amin punya)...but to enter such event/jamboree like this, it was officially first time. By entitling the " first timer " nothing was no pressure on the paper because you have nothing to benchmark but bear in mind it was not that easy...you've to be fit otherwise you're killing yourself ...killing your potential mental strength....& you'll be suffering before you can cross the finish line.

All the lessons from the past, has quite telling me the truth & fact. There's no shortcut for you to success.
Ok guys...i think thats enough...well the circuit trail covered almost Southern Seberang Perai approximately 46 km. The elevation in real value i could not figure out....but those steep hills really sucks...fucking me all the time. I've nothing to say ... always fucking word that can best describe my anger when force to climb the steep hills. No choice for me, either you wanted to ride with low gear or you also can push your bike manually....or if you really strong enough to carry with one hand (12 kg) while running , you're also encourage to do so. I've done all 3 depending on my graph strength....!

I've to admit that this NT Jamboree trail is tougher than Kulim tracks. But it's good training for me physically & mentally. Again i've to admit that it was you that will determine how far you can move forward. The pain is everywhere for you, whether you're ready or not....I just realize that those difficulties have develop my mental strength....you know where is your limits & what is your target to achieve that. Sports is a good things for me at the moment to keep healthy in mind & body while keeping you focus to the discipline . At the mean time, I'm trying to improve my qualities of value work plus in the social life.

Thank you Allah for this wonderful opportunities for me to know myself better.
Well, I'm really enjoying yesterday challenge & it's bring me back to myself. Some of the hilite from yesterday, i keep myself confidence & not to over confident & i've set myself a target to follow Amin during the start...but somehow the huge participants has blocked my plan...so i lost Amin from my view...therefore i've to use plan B, which is keep moving & increasing the speed & trying to pass as many participants if i can. The early stage before Check point 1, i've to make sure 2 things:
1) continous consumption energy
2) mental strength.
These are the things that most important for me at that time. Alhamdullillah, while keeping myself pushing  to the limits....i've to ensure 2 additional things again, no cramp & no puncture. Syukur there was no incidents for both during CP1 until CP3. All the way from CP1 until CP3 I've took 4 " Power gels " which each of the pack consists of 120 kalories & it's really speed more energy to muscle further more if i do not schedule this extra energy i'll definitely suffer.

Alhamdulillah...for the last 8 km to go , i've managed to speed up my speed & passed those participants ( i can see their slowing down due too low energy & tired), mine the last 3 km was so much fun.....having a flat road infront of me, i was able to accelerate and passing at 10 participants & i've crossed the finish line in 4 hours sharp at 11:30 with 157th placing over 6++ participants. What a good day for me again !
See.... i've seen another good things happened to me. A lot of in depth lesson for me to learn ahead of my beyond imagination.
Everybody is different but we are the real success indeed.
What a good day for me again !
Thank you Allah.

Overall Summary:

" Replacement needed "

Salam & Good Day to you Folks !

Today  i just realized that all the accessories (cycling items) that i bought 3 years ago purposely for cycling, is getting naive now.
The " Roeckl " glove is good European glove (famous in cycling & winter skiing) & i think the best i ever had. Stylish & comfort.....well it served & protected me for more than 3 years. At one time, i fell from the bike, luckily me wearing " Roeckl " otherwise it will be worst i guess !

As i remembered, i bought at " Stadler " in Regensburg ~ EURO 10. I guess the few months i should get the new one.
The 2nd items that need my intention was the " AdiStar Pro Cycling " shoes. This shoes still in good condition but the physical look at the bottom of the shoes is no longer not nice to see. The carbon platform already got many scratches .
With this shoes, i think fell more than 5 times. The left rear stud, is already missing during trip to Bukit Hijau. I've tried one time to replace this stud but the response i got from Mr.Cobler so dissapointed....!

Hmm...by all means, i'm planning to replace with new one with Black DMT model 2008. Hopefully i manage to get one before end of this year.

Not to forget....the great German UVEX helmet. This helmet also i bought from " Stadler ". I think EURO 69 but it's good helmet plus protect my head many times during hard time.
This UVEX seldomly used by Malaysian but in Germany it is used by T-Mobile team 3 years ago. If I want to move to new stylish helmet....i 'll go for GIRO IONOS Livestrong it caused you USD 230. Hmmm......quite expensive & i should wait for day....
Auwh....zzzzzzz.

" me the 1st timer ! "

Salam Folks & Good Day !

A quick one since time already close to midnight.
Yesterday i was together with my relative Hadi & the old timer " cik Harun ".
We are participating in the " MALAKOFF 26 km , Penang 2009 ".
The race started at 5:30 am , Youth Park.
Update on 19th of June 2009, see below result of the finisher Malakoff 26 km Penang 2009. I was placed 192th in 4 hours 12 min & 42 sec while CK Chan 5 sec later than me. Actually we crossed the finish line together but i'm not sure the time gap is so huge. 5 seconds is a lot you know ! Anyway, we are the real finisher on our own paced!

Overall summary:

1) YES of course , this is serious running......not for fun. You need to train before you enter this category. In my case, i did not have ample time to train for running but i was lucky because i did regular cycling on every weekend. So..at least it helps me a lot. I'm not tired in this event but i feel really pressured on my ankle. Reason is simple...lack of streching..!

2) It's all about yourself..." keep going " ! ... " & always imagine you are crossing the finish line...(sweet memory) !

3) I got new friend .... named CK from Motorola. We did crossed the finish line together with 4 hours 12 min in 26 km. Don't ask us whether we are satisfied or not ! We like a star....like Lance Armstrong....everybody escorting us until finish line...!

4) The most important things i've learnt from this event :
" Pain is everywhere & it just temporary, don't care about others but do care if you return home without success, & don't you think you've learn/gain something ? "
These are the things that develops my mental strength. Cycling also teach me the same things.
What ever it is...it's applies in our daily life...pain is everywhere...be patience...& put your efforts goes on & the result will come later...!
Because everybody is different !

& Fizi...there's more for you to learn ahead of every seconds !

Be Patience..
