"Every minute I was there, I wanted to flee.
I did not want to see this.
Would I cut and run, or would I deal with
the responsibility of being there with a camera"
(James Nachtwey)
Welcome 2009 !
To begin with, i would like to share some of influences element that changed my perspective about life. I want to share with all of you about the greatest effect of photography, that at first glance might tear down your soul. Perhaps, by saying that & saw some of the greatest photos will lead you to think how lucky we are. This great photographer named " James Nachtwey ", please see more infos on " James Nachtwey ". You can search it via Youtube or googling by yourself for more aspiration or maybe inspiration for us to take on the next step of our life. In fact, you will find photos that have been taken with a brave soul which translated the bravery of our peace of freedom. So, how do i find out about him? It was just coincidentally when i'm looking for war photographer in the youtube & having watching it (slideshow) suddenly i realized that all his photos are so damned excellent & pro in term of the massage he want to deliver to the human being. To be honest, i adore all his incredible photos, works & efforts. There's a documentary about poverty in Indonesia during economic crisis downturn in 1998 when it hits Asian's region where James was assigned to discover about the impact of economic crisis to the peoples of Indonesia. During this period, Indonesia was in deep crisis when most of the lower class rebell to it's president Suharto. Later, Suharto was forced to step downed from the government & charged under corruptions during his era. There was a chaotic situations all over Jakarta & James managed to portraiying peoples who lost their fates, jobs & sleep in the street of Jakarta. In this video, he went to squatter near suburban & was caught by extreme poverty. Peoples live under primitive & you won't never know if there is no documentary about this. I managed to witness this via clips video in youtube & I believe later it being removed by somebody due to copyright reason. You won't believe it such horrible life people may need to survive during this crisis. The poor become poorer & living in between 2 railways without any roof, feeding their kids in a way of naive conditions that we as a human do want to see this. But this is life. I couldn't find this clips in the youtube anymore caused somebody already removed. At the first time seeing this clips, i was muted & speechless..............i cry when there's nothing i could do, it was so naive & so terrible. Therefore, i promise will try to upload this clips if my DVD arrive sooner or later & will post it in this blog.
Anyway, you can find more clips in the youtube which involved James Nachtwey who capturing moments & events across the globe.
