Good Day !
Just now, i just managed to cook an Italian food the so-called " La Pasta ". Yesterday i went to Carrefour & suddenly found out this nicely packet & i read about instructions......hmmm...it seems " macam kacang mamak ajer ". The instructions was described as below:
1) In medium saucepan add 310 ml (~ 1 1\4 cups) of water,
2) add 125 ml ( 1/2 cup ) of low fat milk
3) add 4.5g ( 1 teaspoon ) of butter.
4) bring to boil, add contents of packets.
5) stir continuously whilst returning to boil & simmer for 7 minutes
that's it....so easy right...!
So, the real things was look so easy at the first place.....then
I went to the kitchen, ahem...see the greatest Chef Bon Apepotito is making way & he's thinking to prepare " La Pasta ".
Oh gosh........i don't know how to describe this ! Looks so funny, because the Chef is so hungry at that time.
In fact, grabbing the low fat milk, adding together with 310 ml of water plus adding with 4.5g of butter was so easy.
Then, i mixed it together (low fat milk + water + butter + raw pasta) while singing my favorite song....." I am I am " the religous man...a song from the movie of Nacho Libre.
Huh it was so funny, at first the pasta was look like " mee rebus " because the water is filled by at least quarter of saucepan.
How does it smells ...? I think it's really like pasta....it's taste good....I guest.
While waiting, i'm counting for 8 minutes to see the real pasta....
I was observing every minutes, in order to see how it transformed from " mee rebus " to " La Pasta ".
( this is not the real one i've cooked but it just apple-to-apple )
Hey.... have you ever seen or heard about peoples put an egg together into pasta ?....Grrrrr..... i just did it....?!@
You know what, i was imagined how the guy at " Mee Rebus Kuah Ketam Jalan Kulim " making " Mee Goreng "..Dont ask me why?
It just by heart......by the greatest intuitions.....i guest..!
Not so bad....finally after waiting for 8 minutes, i believe the real pasta is completely ready....absolutely fantastic ...the smells damned great ! By right, it should be able to feed at least 3 to 4 peoples ( roughly estimated ~ 80 teaspoon ) , while i'm the only one sitting in front of the tasty pasta.
Grrrr.....it's a one man show indeed . After, 15 attempts ..... i can't feed anymore..!
I'm done....maybe the blending of the milk with butter itself has had made me feeling uncomfortable...So...i've decided to stop immediately...otherwise , something catastrophic would happen sooner.
I nicely put the good pasta " di bawah tudung saji " & say hello for tomorrow morning...if i still able to make it.
Well, it was such adrenalin experience to make a good pasta. Next time, i've to make sure & re-assure, my wife (hehe future wife :=) ) sitting together so that she will also be able to judge how good i'm while cooking. Hope so...!
And next time, i planning to add with few things into this pasta:
1) pepper
2) tomato sauce
3) asparagus..
4) prawn or fillet...
Just now it was like doing a maggie cup ...i've no idea...but i'm hungry that time.
